With cherished memories of attending Aglow meetings alongside her grandmother, Althea Dickerson, Sheila always carried a spark in her heart for women’s ministry. So when she sensed the Lord calling her to begin a Lighthouse in Milton, she embraced the vision with joy and expectation. She dreamed of creating a welcoming place where women could gather, grow, and encourage one another while experiencing the transformative love of God together. Now, more than two years later, she stands in awe of the ways the Holy Spirit has moved—healing hearts, deepening faith, and weaving lasting friendships. With gratitude for all that has unfolded, Sheila eagerly anticipates the future, confident that as these women come to know Him more deeply, they will shine His light boldly in their homes, workplaces, and community.

I grew up in church since the day I was born but did not fully surrender everything that I am over to God until July of 2023 when I was able to truly experience the power of Holy Spirit moving in my life. On fire for more, I chose to begin attending the new Milton Lighthouse Aglow monthly meetings and participate in the LifeChanger/GameChanger sessions around October of 2023.  It has been exciting to see the Lord move through this ministry and grow each and every person who is involved. God has given me a heart for worship, in which I now am blessed to lead praise and worship for the Lighthouse monthly meetings. Psalms 63:4- So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1971. There were a few of us women from Calvary Methodist Church in Milford, DE who were looking for a more intimate relationship with the Lord. We heard that there was a group called Aglow that was meeting monthly in Dover at the Sheraton Inn. We experienced testimonies and great praise and worship. I can't remember when the meetings stopped. I reconnected with Aglow while I was working with Sheila. She was so excited about what God was putting in her heard to start and Aglow Lighthouse. I was hesitant, but Sheila encouraged me to become involved, so here I am to serve.
